Wedding: Emma & Chanda

“From Angela: Our country has done us proud by legalizing same-sex marriage in the District of Columbia. On the eve of same-sex marriage legalization in New York City, I traveled down to Washington D.C. to photograph the wedding day of Emma and Chanda Brown at the lovely Willard-Continental Hotel. They looked amazing- it was an intimate and incredibly fun wedding day that ended with an all-out intergenerational dance party that left a smile plastered on my face for hours. They are so in love, and are both really kind and warm people. I was so honored to be there making pictures with them and their families and guests. One of the great moments was the one below, with mist from a fountain blowing over us, the Capitol way in the background, Freedom plaza engraved on the fountain.”
